Megan was a god send on a day that could’ve gone much worse. Our officiant, my mother, was unable to do the wedding and Megan luckily was available and was able to come short notice. She was super helpful with the ceremony and tuning it so it fit me and my now wife and our weirdness which made our ceremony just feel that much more special on our special day. She also was kind enough to allow my mother to speak during the ceremony to say a couple words to help her feel involved when she was determined to be unable to officiate. This meant a lot to both me and my wife for even considering her, even when she didn’t mention it to Megan. Hopefully I wouldn’t need to, but if I were ever to be married again I would most definitely use Megan again!

Megan did a lovely job officiating our elopement ceremony! We reached out to her on her website on a Saturday asking if she’d be available the upcoming Friday. Not only was she available, but she responded to us that afternoon letting us know her exact availability. We chatted with her over the phone on Monday and gave her a run down of what we were looking for (short and sweet ceremony – a little prayer, a couple of readings, and exchanging vows). She shared resources with us and offered advice where we asked for it. We sent her a Word .doc of our vows and the readings we wanted on Wednesday and she had them beautifully printed out on cardstock for our ceremony on Friday. She exceeded our expectations and I can not recommend her enough!

We could not be happier or more grateful. When my mother was diagnosed with late-stage cancer, we wanted to fulfill a wish of hers. My now husband and I had been together for 27 years and she’d always wanted us to get married, so we decided to do it. Sadly, her cancer unexpectedly progressed extremely quickly, and we were running out of time. A friend reached out to Megan, and she was at our house 2 hours later. She officiated the ceremony in my mom’s bedroom and it’s the happiest I’d seen her in some time. She was beaming. As it happens this was the last time my mom was able to interact, so it meant even more than I imagined. Megan was not only extremely kind, but also professional and detail oriented. At this point, she’s basically part officiant, part therapist, and a part time guardian of our relationship. Each ceremony still feels fresh, meaningful, and uniquely “us,” which is honestly shocking considering she’s working with the same two people every year, same day, in April. She brings warmth, love, good vibes, and this uncanny ability to make every vow renewal feel just as special as the first “I do.” Also worth noting: she’s welcoming, and genuinely believes that love is love, which isn’t just a tagline, it’s something you feel in how she works. Whether you’re planning a big wedding, a last-minute elopement, or a decade-long tradition like ours, Megan shows up ready to make it unforgettable. In short: if you’re looking for someone to officiate your ceremony, stop searching. Megan is it. Hire her. Trust her. Maybe invite her to future anniversaries too, you’ll want her around. Five stars. Would get married again. And again. And apparently, again.

Megan helped us find our direction when crafting our ceremony and it came together perfectly! Her eloquent speech and incorporated details were highly complemented by all of our guests and made our ceremony a dream come true. She was so on top of things that she requested we move our ceremony up to avoid the rain and boy was she right! We cannot recommend her enough!

We had our wedding last Saturday (2.24.24) at Lake Affect Studios in Cleveland, OH and it was the best day of our lives. We originally did not hire Megan for our officiant but we had the pleasure of working with her after the unthinkable happened. The officiant that was supposed to marry us came down with a wicked case of the flu the day of and hired Megan to step in for her. I had nothing to worry about, Megan was communicating with me that morning and assured me that we would have a perfect ceremony and she wasn’t wrong. She gave us everything we wanted and more. She was wonderful to work with in a pinch and I will recommend her to everyone who is getting married. We have been having all of our guests tell us that our ceremony was hands down the most beautiful ceremony they ever witnessed. Megan was a joy to work with before, during, and after our ceremony. We were initially planning a courthouse elopement which evolved into a microwedding at a botanical garden, and I am so glad it did, and I am so glad it was Megan conducting our ceremony. She was incredibly responsive when we initially contacted her; we had an initial consultation call where she walked us through the various options for the ceremony, and then another call 10 days before the ceremony for all the finishing touches. As we planned to exchanged our vows privately, she also provided us with beautiful vows. We wanted to do a handfasting with all the members of the family, and she put in so much care into ensuring that all the names were pronounced perfectly – a monumental feat as we have a multicultural family. She was punctual on the day of the ceremony (she got there before us!!) and explained the filing process for the marriage license. Though the word “perfect” may sound hyperbolic, I felt that “perfect” is the only word to describe the ceremony she conducted and the words she had chosen. We asked for a non-denominational ceremony, and we wanted to keep the gendered words to a minimum. Megan delivered exactly what we wanted and more. We were the 820th couple that she had married, and it absolutely shows – she knew exactly what looked best for photos, and she knew how to position everyone. After the wedding, she sent us the script for our ceremony, and kept us updated on our marriage license filling. I am so happy she was a part of our big day, and she created this moment that we will cherish forever. Snatch her up fast before she books up!

When searching for the perfect officiant, I was mainly looking for: a professional with experience, someone who could do a fully personalized, nonreligious ceremony, and most importantly, a woman. My fiancé and I had decided to elope. So we figured we’d just do a court house wedding. But none of court houses were a beautiful location by any means. Which is not exactly what you’d want to remember when you’ve found the love of your life. So we figured if we could just find a officiant then we could get married anywhere that we wanted. I searched on Google and Megan’s reviews and website immediately stood out. I reached out and she responded immediately which for us was amazing, because maybe we didn’t think about it being the time of year where everyone wants to get married or the fact it’s probably the craziest wedding season of all, because of COVID-19. Megan asked if we had a photographer which I wanted pictures, but didn’t even know where I wanted to start looking. She recommended three vendors to us that she had worked with before and with prices. It was that easy to pick one out. Seeing as we were up in the air about location she suggested we have the photographer pick. Which was the best advice. Our pictures came out beautiful. It certainly was, because of Megan that our day was beautiful and not stressful at all. Our ceremony was perfect. And in her talk focused on all the things that are important to us. She really took the time in that meeting to get to know us as a couple, and it ended with us knowing without a doubt that we wanted Megan to be part of our day. In between that time and our actual wedding, Megan was EXCELLENT at communicating with us as we finalized details of location/timing/etc. Megan met with us again a few weeks before the wedding to not only go over final ceremony details, but to also make sure we as a couple were doing well leading up to the stressful weeks before our wedding. Megan truly cares about you not just as a client of hers, but as a lifelong marriage that she is bringing together. We received SO MANY COMPLIMENTS about Megan’s words during our ceremony, and everyone just kept raving about how beautifully she officiated it – even from those who were initially upset that we weren’t having a traditional church wedding.
